Transjakarta Adjusts Eight Routes Following Protests

Transjakarta made service adjustments on eight routes following demonstrations in Central Jakarta on Thursday (9/24) afternoon.

Adjustments are temporary

Transjakarta's Head of Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, said the adjustments were made to accommodate traffic conditions and maintain smooth service operations.

"In response to protests in Central Jakarta, we are making operational adjustments to several Transjakarta routes. These adjustments are temporary and will be updated based on conditions on the ground," she said.

The following are service adjustments on a number of Transjakarta routes:

Two Transjakarta routes, namely BW4 (IRTI–Bundaran Senayan) and BW2 (Jakarta Baru), have temporarily suspended operations.

Meanwhile, routes 6B (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Semanggi) and 6A (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Kuningan) have been shortened and operate only as far as Balai Kota. Route 1A (Balai Kota–Pantai Maju) also does not serve the Balai Kota shelter or bus stop.

The diversion is implemented on route 2A (Pulo Gadung 1–Rawa Buaya) and route 2 (Pulo Gadung 1–Monas) for the Pulo Gadung direction, without serving the Balai Kota and Gambir 2 bus stops.

Meanwhile, route 1P (Senen–Blok M) does not serve trips from the IRTI Monas Bus Stop to the Gambir 2 Bus Stop.

"Transjakarta ensures that other routes remain operating normally. We urge customers to adjust their travel schedules and continue to monitor the latest service information via the Transjakarta app and official Transjakarta social media platforms," she appealed.
